Then we have the perfect role for you. For our Accounting Benelux team we are looking for an ambitious fulltime Accounting Associate to our office in Strombeek-Bever.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Accounting Associate Benelux, you will work on all accounting activities related to AP/AR/GL/C&B, mainly within the BeLux markets (extended to the Dutch market if necessary), ensuring completeness and accuracy of accounting, in accordance with business requirements (IFRS) and local rules (Belgian & Luxembourg) and regulations. You will coordinate and take part in global and local projects. On top of that, you will be acting as a fully-fledged Business Partner to the other departments within the market. Aside from that, you will be supporting development activities and trainings to the wider finance team, and budget owners as well as cooperating with Shared Business Centres.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordination of vendor invoices with the Shared Service Center (GBS) i.e. trace requisitioners, PO numbers, incorrect invoices, reminders, contact with vendors. Coordinate requests of all kind from local employees.
- Coordination of all requests of all kind from local employees.
- Preparation and submission of various templates.
- Credit and past due checks, contact with customers, retrieval of payment proofs, contact with Shared Service Center about all kind of queries, assistance in allocations of customer accounts.
- Support internal and external audit (preparation of Financial Statements, collection of audit evidences and take up other audit requests
- Reconciliation of GL accounts, preparing and sending journal vouchers and checking postings, clearings, accruals and reclasses.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
- Preferably 2-4 years of experience in an international company
- Knowledge of IFRS, Dutch and Belgian GAAP
- Fluent English and French, both written and verbal, Dutch would be an advantage
- Very good knowledge of Ms Office, SAP (or other ERP system) and Power BI experience would be an advantage
